Grid Connected Solar:
Solar Energy Conservation

If you are tired of going to the mailbox and feeling faint at the amount of your utility bills then this is the article for you. Energy 2 GreenIf you have often thought about ways that you can save money or have thought about what you can do for the environment, then this is the article that you should read. We will tell you about what it means to use solar energy and save money while helping to save our environment. We will offer you a way to live off the grid.

You may be wondering what living off the grid actually means. Living off the grid means changing the way that you produce energy for your home. It can mean living off the land and using no power at all. Cooking on fires and using things like candles and kerosene lanterns, but is also using things like solar energy in place of electricity. Think about it, no more high electric bills while helping to protect the environment at the same time.

What is solar powered energy? Basically speaking, solar energy is energy that comes from the suns rays. This energy can be changed into things like electricity and heat. It can heat your water for use in your home or wherever else that you need it. This is done by using photovoltaic energy. This is the way that sunlight is changed into energy. There is a long explanation on exactly how this works but we will not bore you with all that mumbo jumbo. Just know that it does work and will cut out all of those high utilities every month.

The great thing about solar energy is that it is free. So once you get a system set up in your home, you will be in the clear of the high cost of electricity and heating bills. The first thing that you will need to do is to figure out how many watts of electricity that you are using a day. Also while you are at it, think about things that you really do not need in your home like those appliances that you could live without. Do you need all those lamps? Or do you really need five televisions going all the time. The more stuff that you need energy for the more solar power that you are going to need to run them.

Another thing that you will need to consider is where you live. Which area do you live in? Because the climate in your area, how much sunlight that your area gets, how much rainfall there is, all will affect how much solar energy that you will need. And how big of a solar energy system that you will need.

There are several things that you will need to start your grid connected solar. First you will need a connector. These are usually solar panels and a mount, which is what you will put your connectors on. You will also need an inverter. This will change 12-volt DC power to 110 volt AC power. You will also need to get a fuse box or a circuit breaker. Once you have bought all the things you need, installation should be pretty easy. Just knowing that grid connected solar will save you lots of money will make it all worthwhile.Energy 2 Green Book
